The philosophy of Lin is born out of a simple truth: the more accurate a system reproduces sound, the greater the impact it will have on the listener. In 1972 Linn introduced the longest-lived hi-fi product still in production anywhere in the world, the Sondek LP12 turntable. At the CES 2008 in Dubai they showed us three Digital Stream Players; the Klimax DS, the Akurate DS and the Sneaky Music DS.



Klimax DS
A breakthrough product and original Linn design, the Klimax DS is completely open in term of supporting digital music formats. It supports the highest quality open formats like Flac and WAV. It also plays high quality audio sample rates and bit depths natively. Your CD’s or downloaded music are stored separately on a secure, reliable and upgradeable networked hard drive. Accessing and controlling your music is done via a handheld wireless touchscreen.

Akurate DS
The Akurate DS delivers authentic performance from digital music over a standard home network. The Akurate DS supports most widely used audio formats currently on the market like Flac, WAV and MP3. It also supports Studio Master Quality FLAC downloads from Linn Records. This format is comparable to stereo Super Audio CD.

Sneaky Music DS
PC-based music player are becoming more and more popular. For people who don’t want to compromise performance, there’s the Linn Sneaky Music DS. It combines a genuine audiophile performance with the convenience of a PC-basesd system. The audio files come from a central location and the Sneaky Music DS streams them and converts them to music.
