Horse racing is a popular spectator sport in Great Britain. It is an equestrian sport that has been practiced over the centuries and is often associated with gambling. Our host Tommy went with Rick a day to the tracks to place some bets.

Horse Racing: Great Britain
There are 60 established racecourses in Great Britain, plus Ffos Las that is about to open on the 18th of June 2009. The two main forms of horse racing in Great Britain are unobstructed distances races, known as flat racing, and races over fences or over hurdles, known as National Hunt racing. One of the principal forms of horse racing is Thoroughbred racing. The other two forms are Harness racing and Quarter horse racing.
