Merel became runner-up of Miss Reef 2008
After several pre-rounds, the final contest of the Miss Reef 2008 contest was held on board of the Ocean Diva. Off course there was plenty of media coverage for the winner of Miss Reef 2008, but we sneaked to the dressing room to interview the runner-up of the contest. The astonishing beautiful Merel from Amersfoort told us she was really happy with her second place, as this was the first time she ever competed in a beauty contest. In the future she will go to study, but fortunately she also wants to pursuit a modelling career.



Miss Reef 2008
The breathtaking girls that competed in the Miss Reef 2008 contest were judged by a professional jury. That consisted of Ernesto Hoost (4-times K1 winner), Ronald Scouten (Jägermeister), Eric Scott (Jetpack driver) and Fammie (Laser Aesthetics). Eventually Bibi Schouten was chosen Miss Reef 2008 and won a trip to Ibiza, a laserresurfacing and a photoshoot with a professional photographer. Merel Koene won ‘silver’ and Jessy van Hilten won ‘bronze’.
